Accumulation Chain Conveyor System
The accumulation conveyor primarily consists of the following components: conveyor track, traction chain, accumulation trolley assembly, drive unit, tensioning device, stopper, roller assembly rotation device, roller wheel rotation device, switch, backstop, pneumatic control unit, etc. The conveyor operates by engaging and disengaging the trolley assemblies with the chain pusher heads to transport or accumulate vehicles on the lifting devices. Based on process requirements, it can be divided into fast chains and slow chains (referred to as process chains). Fast chains are primarily used for vehicle transportation or accumulation, with the number of vehicles stored determined by the production line length. The slow chain primarily supports complete vehicle assembly. Production line cadence is adjusted based on process station requirements and chain speed. During this phase, vehicles on the lifting device can only be moved by the traction chain.

Accumulation-type overhead conveyors are transportation equipment suited for high-productivity, flexible production systems. They not only serve as transporters but also integrate throughout the entire production line, combining sophisticated process operations with storage and transportation functions. With the rapid advancement of modern logistics conveying technology, accumulation conveyors have found widespread application across various industries, particularly in the automotive manufacturing sector—such as four-door assembly lines, engine assembly lines, and complete vehicle assembly lines. |
