Laser SLAM Navigation for Industrial Mobile Robots
Laser SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) navigation constitutes a reflector-free laser vision navigation method, characterised by autonomous mapping and autonomous navigation capabilities. The term “autonomous mapping” refers to the ability of an autonomous laser-equipped industrial mobile robot to independently generate a corresponding map of any unfamiliar environment after merely traversing it once. “Autonomous navigation” denotes the capacity to navigate freely, automatically plan routes, and operate independently without requiring any auxiliary positioning infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Warehouse handling robots utilise laser guidance to transport goods between designated locations; within various e-commerce sorting warehouses, they can also follow designated personnel to enhance operational efficiency. Through the backend system, multiple robots can be cluster-scheduled to rationally allocate handling tasks. Robots offer flexible versatility: Hardware configurations can be customised as backpack-mounted, crawler-type, or towing models; software systems feature bespoke access interfaces tailored to client requirements, enabling deep integration with customer WMS systems. |
