KYN28A-12 Armoured Withdrawable Type AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear is suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems, serving to receive and distribute electrical energy. It finds extensive application in switch stations, urban distribution networks, shopping centres, airports, underground railways, wind power generation, hospitals, stadiums, railways, tunnels and similar locations, providing circuit control, protection and monitoring.

I. Scope of Application and Purpose 1. Scope of Application: Suitable for use in large power stations, substations, and industrial and mining enterprises within AC power grids rated at 3.6–12kV and 50Hz, serving to receive and distribute electrical energy. 2. Primary Purpose: Primarily employed in power plants, small-to-medium generator power transmission, water purification plants, sewage treatment plants, industrial and mining enterprise distribution systems, and secondary substations within power systems. It facilitates control, protection, monitoring, and power reception/transmission for numerous high-voltage motors. II. Structural Characteristics 1. Cabinet Structure: The cabinet employs aluminium-zinc coated steel plates, CNC-machined through multiple bending processes and bolted together. This construction delivers high mechanical strength, ensuring the product's neatness and aesthetic appeal. 2. Cabinet Doors: Coated with powder spray, the doors exhibit strong impact resistance and corrosion resistance. 3. Assembly Method: Modular construction offers versatile configuration options. Cabinets may be wall-mounted with front maintenance access, minimising floor space requirements. 4. Compartmentalisation: Partitions divide the switchgear into draw-out compartments, busbar compartments, cable compartments, and instrumentation compartments (low-voltage section). Each compartment housing is independently earthed. III. Performance Features 1. Five-Prevention Interlocking: Incorporates five interlocking functions to prevent: - Incorrect disconnection/connection of circuit breakers - Disconnection/connection of circuit breakers under load - Connection/disconnection of earthing switches with live conductors - Energisation with earthing conductors in place - Access to live compartments Ensuring operational safety. 2. High Protection Rating: The enclosure achieves an IP4X protection rating, with individual compartments rated IP2X, effectively preventing ingress of debris and pests. 3.
