GDF Fixed-Partition Low-Voltage Switchgear
The GDF fixed-partition low-voltage switchgear is suitable for power plants, substations, petrochemical plants, metallurgical rolling mills, transportation facilities, light industry and textile enterprises, as well as residential complexes and high-rise buildings. It serves as distribution equipment for AC 50-60Hz power systems with a rated operating voltage of 660V AC or below, facilitating power conversion, distribution and control.
This apparatus complies with national professional standards including GB7251.1 ‘Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies’ and JB/T9961 ‘Low-Voltage Draw-Out Switchgear Assemblies’, as well as international standards such as IEC439-1 and VDE0660 Part 5.

I. Structural Design Features 1. Independent Modular Structure: Employing an independent modular design comprising horizontal busbar compartments, vertical busbar compartments, functional unit compartments, and cable compartments. Each compartment is sealed and separated by steel plates or insulating panels, effectively preventing accident propagation and enhancing safety. 2. Compact and Flexible Layout: The structure is compact, highly versatile, and offers flexible assembly. Unit spacing can be freely configured to meet diverse design requirements. 3. Functional Unit Compartments, Busbar Compartments, and Cable Compartments are mutually independent, preventing interference and limiting the scope of potential faults. 4. The horizontal main busbar is arranged horizontally at the rear of the cabinet, enhancing the rated peak withstand current capacity. 5. Standardised and modular design: Cabinet frames utilise C-section steel or extruded profiles assembled with modular hole patterns (e.g., 20mm, 25mm pitch), ensuring high component interchangeability and standardisation. 6. Functional units are available in heights of 220mm, 440mm, 660mm, etc., supporting customised configurations. II. Performance and Reliability Features 1. High Protection Rating: Cabinet protection ratings achieve IP30, IP40, or IP41, effectively preventing dust and moisture ingress for harsh environment suitability. 2. Independent access doors for each functional unit, with rear maintenance doors. All functional unit doors and main switches incorporate mechanical interlocking devices to enhance electric shock protection reliability. 3. Robust Electrical Performance: High breaking capacity, strong making capability, and excellent dynamic thermal stability to meet high-current demands. 4. Vertical busbars are assembled within high-strength flame-retardant plastic functional panels, providing arc-fault resistance for operational safety. 5. Rated current coverage spans 400A to 6300A, supporting both three-phase four-wire and three-phase five-wire systems. 6. Optimised thermal management: Ventilation openings at cabinet top and bottom create natural airflow channels, facilitating efficient heat dissipation through rising hot air and incoming cool air circulation. III. Safety and Maintenance Features 1. Secure component design: Utilises withdrawable or plug-in circuit breakers (e.g., Schneider, Siemens, ABB brands), minimising intermediate mechanisms to reduce failure rates. 2. Fixed-mounted air circuit breakers employ plug-in configurations with additional operating handles on doors, combining the advantages of draw-out cabinets with the stability of fixed enclosures. 3. Convenient Maintenance and Replacement: Component replacement is straightforward, requiring only the substitution of the switch body without system power interruption. 4. Drawer unit circuit breakers are fixed-mounted, while fixed compartment circuit breakers are either fully withdrawable or plug-in types. Circuit breaker bodies of identical specifications and parameters are interchangeable, facilitating maintenance. Multi-industry coverage IV. Normal Operating Environmental Conditions 1. Ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C nor fall below -5°C, with an average temperature not exceeding +35°C over a 24-hour period. 3. Altitude not exceeding 2000 metres. |
